Conscientious Connections: Lucy Rogers` Just Us Reimagines Social Impact Fundraising
LUCY ROGERS’ BRUNCHES, DINNER PARTIES, AND FIRESIDE CHATS ARE REVOLUTIONIZING HIGH-LEVEL FUNDRAISING, ONE STRATEGIC TABLE-SWAP AT A TIME.
AN IMPACT-FOCUSED SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR, LUCY CO-FOUNDED HER LATEST VENTURE, JUST US, TO CONNECT LIKE-MINDED, MISSION-ORIENTED ENTREPRENEURS, NONPROFIT LEADERS, AND FINANCIAL BACKERS TO REALIZE SHARED VISIONS FOR A BETTER FUTURE.
At its core, the concierge service helps clients connect the dots of their success through carefully curated guest lists and an innovative table-swapping technique that helps participants identify synergies and potential partnership opportunities more quickly. The events, Lucy says, “transcend traditional networking” because it’s about “belonging to something greater than yourself” that dissolves barriers and transforms individual connections into a powerful community. This community of visionaries and innovators — a genuine who’s who of entrepreneurs, investors, and entertainers — then elevates members by building confidence and empowering them to live in their purpose.

Technological trailblazers lead the pack
At conferences, there’s never a queue for the ladies’ loos — proof that as a female tech entrepreneur Lucy Rogers is still in a minority.
But the lion’s share of entrants to the 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch have built businesses in tech, media and communications and the landscape is changing, says Yvonne Greeves, director of Women in Business at NatWest.
Lucy Rogers co-founded creative and management agency Soga, and is one of the 10 highly commended businesses, all founded in the past five years.
“There’s so much variety within that top 10,” says Greeves. “These are businesses that came out of adversity, created out of the need to keep earning or overcome challenges.”
Retraining for the tech sector
“I love to learn, I will watch and read and try to immerse myself,” says Rogers. “ Before this, I never saw myself running a business, and back then I thought too small. But therapy was a huge part of unlocking my potential, that and learning, listening and constantly reading.”Among the highly commended enterprises is a higher-than-average number that are completely tech-based, says Greeves. “That’s not to say they use tech for tech’s sake – all good businesses solve some sort of problem.”
